Media artists encouraged to contact me for story.
Besides being a member of the FVFC, I’m also a freelance writer with several newspapers and magazines. My specialty is media and the arts. My weekly column in called CENTER STAGE and I now do freelance for the Farmington Valley Press.
If you are a filmmaker, videographer, writer or actor doing a project and you have some connection to the Valley, I would be more than happy to do a story on you. It might also get onto the FVFC web site. Shoot me an email at: semirzian@snet.net and we’ll go from there. All press is great so don’t put it off. If you have a West Hartford connection I can put you in the CENTER STAGE column, as well (same email).

Dear FVFC friends:
I recently created the “Friends of the Farmington Valley Film Commission” on the popular social site, Facebook. The purpose is to get as many people to join the group that live in the area. It will be an extra means of seeing what’s going on in the Valley and, hopefully, for networking with local talent.
I’m personally hoping to get volunteer actors and crew for some of my production company’s upcoming summer videos. I hope visitors to this site will also join the Facebook site. Just go to Facebook.com and become a member for free. Once there, in the subject box, type in: friends of the Farmington Valley Film Commission and you are in. It’s a great way to stay in contact with media professionals and to learn about upcoming productions and volunteer possibilities.
